BAMBOO/WOODEN DRAGON BOAT

The image of the dragon boats float along the Perfume River has become familiar with Hue people. To bring this image closer to visitors, we create a bamboo boat and make it become the typical souvenirs of Hue. The artisans must do many different stages to complete a bamboo boat which requires the patience and skillful hands of the workers. Among them, the most important step is the selection of the bamboo stem. Creating head, tail of the dragon, then grafting into the bamboo are the most difficult and complicated steps to complete a perfect product. Similar to the bamboo boat, wooden dragon boat also requires highly ingenuity and meticulous of the artists. After all, we would love to bring the most perfect products to visitors.
